Samsung Debuts Galaxy Watch 9 in India With Snapdragon Wear Elite Processor and AI Wellness Suite: Price, Specifications
In India, Samsung has introduced its latest Galaxy Watch 9, which comes under its wearable family, at its much-hyped Unpacked event scheduled to be held during the summer months. In addition, the firm, which relies on its in-house Exynos chipset to date, switched to Qualcomm’s advanced 3nm Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset to build its upcoming generation of smartwatches.
As a result of this, the device boasts increased app load times, improved energy efficiency, and enhanced multitasking in all-day scenarios, thereby improving the responsiveness in the digital experience. The smartwatch is available in two variants, 40mm and 44mm, that come in sleek aluminum casings and sport a high-quality Sapphire Crystal Super AMOLED display with a peak brightness level of 3,000 nits.
On the inside, the wearable sports 2GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of internal storage, powered by Google’s Wear OS 7 with Samsung’s One UI 9 Watch layer over the top. The power to the smartwatch comes from a 390mAh battery on the 40mm version and a 445mAh battery cell on the 44mm version.
Fitness and health monitoring capabilities receive a significant upgrade with the introduction of the redesigned BioActive Sensor that unites the optical heart rate sensor, electrical heart activity sensor, and bioelectrical impedance analysis. Using smart algorithms, the device adds special wellness measures such as Daily Cardio Load, Heart Health Score, Personalized Fitness Index, and improved FDA-cleared Sleep Apnea monitoring.
The connectivity features comprise Bluetooth 6.0, dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and optional LTE with protection from 5ATM, IP68, and military standard durable standards. In India, the price of the Galaxy Watch 9 with 40 mm and Bluetooth is ₹38,999, while the 40 mm with LTE version will cost ₹42,999.
There are two colors available in 40 mm, including Cream and Graphite, and Graphite and Silver in 44 mm models, which can be preordered before the August 7 release date. With the combination of silicon performance and health monitoring technologies, Samsung has managed to design an amazing smartwatch for tech-savvy customers.
