Google Connects Gemini AI to Adobe, Airtable, and Peloton Services
The company has introduced Gemini Connected Apps to its Google ecosystem by embedding 14 leading third-party platforms in its AI-powered interface. The updated feature lets users engage with external services, including Adobe, Airtable, and Peloton from inside the Gemini conversations through @mentions or settings toggles without navigating to multiple tabs when working on complex tasks.
The new list of partners includes a total of three categories covering both consumer and enterprise users. For enterprises, it includes monday.com, Linear, PandaDoc, and Zoho, while for creative developers, there are Adobe, Picsart, Squarespace, and Webflow.
Moreover, lifestyle platforms include Peloton, SeatGeek, Experian, and Apartments.com, where users can perform their workouts or find their desired real estate property from inside the conversation thread. Practically speaking, Gemini runs background commands between linked applications without the need for users to launch independent software applications.
The service utilizes permission-based activity controls, thus keeping third-party access to user data associated with their accounts while maintaining stringent end-to-end user consent guarantees. In doing so, this expansion of the ecosystem is speeding up Google’s strategic approach of evolving Gemini into an all-inclusive agentic system.
Greater connectivity with third-party APIs will help maintain user engagement in the face of competition from OpenAI and Microsoft. The Connected Apps extension for Gemini represents a single operational center that turns generative AI into a workable space for running regular software applications. With no need to switch applications and perform numerous actions, the integration layer helps streamline workflows and automate projects.
