A Marc Benioff-Backed Startup Thinks AI Can Solve the AI Deployment Problem

Despite the fact that global enterprises are ready to use autonomous artificial intelligence agents, there are many challenges involved in implementing the idea into the real software solutions. In order to fill the gap, a new startup June has announced its launch from stealth mode and raised $20 million in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by Time Ventures of Marc Benioff, with participation of many other enterprise companies like Michael Dell, Box co-founder Aaron Levie, and CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz. The company is founded by Efrat Rapoport, Ohad Hen, Barak Goldstein, and Idan Tsitiat, the founders of the conversation-AI platform Bonobo, which was purchased by Salesforce back in 2019.

Now the startup focuses on solving another problem of enterprise technology, the complicated post-purchase one. Today, many enterprises have to involve a lot of consultants or engineers working in frontlines who need to configure AI agents in legacy corporate systems manually. June wants to replace the work with software intelligence

Instead of creating chatbots that are meant for consumers, June creates an orchestrator that takes care of all the difficult work of integration that enterprises need to do. The company’s modular structure breaks down large AI systems into automated workflows that create safeguards that monitor the system’s ability to be used as well as test out data pipelines before any agent goes into operation.

By making sure that software agents can integrate into customers’ IT systems easily, June makes it much faster and more efficient. The company’s impressive list of investors indicates an industry-wide trend: money that is being spent on AI models by enterprises is shifting toward the mechanics of deployment. Instead of consulting services, which take time and money, June uses software and is able to address one of the main bottlenecks in technology today.
