Elon Musk’s Answer to Claude Cowork: SpaceXAI Launches Autonomous Grok Bot

The space race between artificial intelligence is quickly progressing from text prompters into full software execution. In terms of competing to take the enterprise workflow, the SpaceXAI that was formed after the merger of xAI and SpaceX has officially released its Grok Bot. 

The autonomous software creation was made in collaboration with the recently acquired startup Cursor, which is focused on building agents that can work within existing software to perform multiple steps of an office task. Competing against Anthropic’s Claude Cowork, Grok Bot changes the approach from a momentary use of the chatbot to constant background work. 

Unlike the local software that has to be run by users or be configured with scripts, each Grok Bot runs in its own isolated cloud desktop. Users just need to allocate the role, and bots will do everything on their own. Bots work without interruption even if users close their laptops and will come back only when their permission is needed or when the task is finished.

The original idea behind the Grok Bot was developed in SpaceXAI as a multi-agent “swarm” that would complete administrative, sales, and development tasks. A central coordinator AI can allocate individual roles to the sub-bots, which would enable collaboration in threads, memory of past conversations, as well as learning recurring office routines through observations. 

The solution was designed for the legacy enterprise environment where there were no API integrations. The system logs directly into the web services and operates through a software interface, similar to a human employee. Already available on the beta version, Grok Bot can be accessed on desktops and mobile devices by users of SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium packages. 

Elon Musk announced that general enterprise accessibility would come along with the launch of the Grok 4.6 model. Implementation of the cloud-based AI swarms is the key stage to achieving fully automated workplace management.
