Contact centers operating in highly regulated industries such as finance need high performance and reliability. In an effort to address this challenge, voice-first artificial intelligence provider Omilia has raised $67 million through a Series B fundraising round spearheaded by transatlantic investor and software firm Expedition Growth Capital.

The new funds will be used to accelerate the company’s growth strategy, as evidenced by the planned establishment of its first-ever office in the United States this year. Founded by CEO Dimitris Vassos, Omilia is an enterprise platform offering a self-learning, agentic customer experience (CX) solution designed for demanding industries including banking, insurance, and health care.

While other conversational solutions depend on third-party technologies, Omilia owns its whole tech stack and is therefore capable of processing over 50,000 simultaneous voice interactions per client within sub-second latency while adhering to FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.

This financing success follows the achievement of over $60 million in annual recurring revenue by Omilia, which is ten times more than what it has raised in its Series A round without any equity funding in between.

Omilia’s proprietary Voice AI platform serves more than 200 deployments around the world for global enterprises, driving both regular and advanced calls for some of the most famous companies like Capital One, Discover, Royal Bank of Canada, Taco Bell, and PSEG. For example, one of Tier 1 US retail banks uses Omilia to handle more than one million automated calls from customers each day.

Other than geographical expansion, Omilia has recently announced Lexis – a text-to-speech generative model that is seamlessly incorporated into Omilia’s platform to provide context-aware and human-like voice responses. Omilia has also recruited go-to-market experts to further capture the increasing demand for enterprise automated call containment solutions.

Enterprise customer care automation requires not only speed but also security. Omilia is providing both – auditability and cost-efficient operations through proprietary voice intelligence technology.
